Buy Meraki pure oil HERE

/ A few months back, I paid (as you may remember) Meraki a visit in their showlab with a lot of other Danish bloggers. I got one of their “Pure oils” with me in a goodiebag. This is organic and smells of orange and herbs. It’s a nice handy glass bottle (I especially give it a thumbs up for minimal plastic packaging!) with a glass of pipette inside. I have not really started using the oil before now, but after tidying carefully in my bathroom cabinets in connection with my “mission less and better waste” (especially less plastic waste) I have decided to really start using this oil in all the ways it is intended. I’m crazy about products that serve more than one purpose, which this oil is doing in particular. And it’s SO pretty at the same time! I really feel that it is a luxurious product even though it is so simple.

/ After having been ill for almost 4 days last week, I thought I would spoil myself with a bath followed by a face scrub. A month ago I emptied my conventional tube of face scrub and I decided not to go back to conventional scrubs again. Many of the products available on the market are filled with small grains in plastic that ends up in our drains and thus in nature – and I really don’t see a reason for that when there are natural alternatives that seem just as good! I just mix the Meraki oil with some coffee grounds from our espresso machine. Voila – I have my own homemade scrub! It can also be used for hands and feet. It could maybe also be used for the whole body, but in that case, I think I would mix in some water because otherwise you should use quite a lot of oil at once. The smell of orange from the oil blended with the coffee grounds smells really nice!

/ Other ways I’m going to use the oil (alone) are on my legs after shaving, lightly the tips of my hair when I have washed it and on dry nails. This means that I can keep my consumption of other beauty products at a minimum – especially those that are only available in plastic packaging. So I’m glad that this oil was in my goodiebag, because as it looks right now – this oil will stick to my beauty routines! I may add one without any scent to it after I’m finished with this one, but for now this is perfect.
