Honey, you’re a shooting star: my new jewelry designs

Today is the day where my latest designs for Stilnest have launched, and I’ve been so excited for you guys to get your hands on them! I’ve already been teasing a bit about the designs on my Instagram and I can’t get enough of them. As a sidenote, I wanted to let you guys know that we’ve updated the Quality & Production page of the shop – so now there’s a lot more info about the materials we use and how we make sure the production is as ethical as possible.

As you guys know I’ve worked as a designer in the clothing industry, and I never thought I’d have a chance to design jewelry. But I love it so much, love the jewelry and the thought of being part of changing up that industry, and I like the thought of keeping one foot in the door of the design business too. You can read more thoughts behind the Scandinavia Bound collection right HERE.

Shooting Star

The new designs that we’ve added to the collection is called Shooting Star. I wanted to add some pieces that were a bit more edgy, and I’ve always loved stars of all kinds. I also wanted to keep within the whole mix & match approach, which is already a huge part of the whole collection. Therefore, I’ve designed the new Dune Hoops with the idea of you being able to wear them plain as they are, or add different pendants to personalize them. We’ve added a little “stopper” on the earrings, so you don’t have to worry about the pendants falling off. And I love the fact that they are twisted because that way they blend in seamlessly with the existing jewelry in the Scandinavia Bound collection. My Starling ring and the classic Dune pendants have this same twisted effect. I’ve been wearing the earrings every single day lately, and I feel like they are such an easy and effortless way to instantly look more chic.

Besides the earrings, I’ve designed a matching Shooting Star necklace and a bracelet. Everything is available in 14c recycled solid gold or silver, so you can choose the material you like better and that fits your budget. As before you can mix and match gold and silver if you like, and if you don’t feel like going all in on one material. I love the new Shooting Star pendant combined with the round Meadow pendant in the same necklace. Speaking of that pendant, as a new thing we’ve made Meadow available for engraving now! So again, you get to personalise the pieces even further with a letter on the plain side of the pendant. There are so many ways you can put together a combination of jewelry, that you love the most.

I actually had a set of silver Shooting Star necklace and bracelet send to my sister as a surprise, because she’s been going through a really rough time the past year or so. I wanted to send her something special, to let her know that I’m always thinking of her. She loves these pieces as well, and I love the thought of us wearing the same ones. Everytime I look down at my bracelet, I think of her.

I hope you guys are as excited for the new designs as I am! I’ve gathered some tips on styling up jewelry in the video below, if you’re keen.
